How It Works
We calculate wind chill using the U.S. National Weather Service formula:
- Formula: 35.74 + 0.6215T - 35.75(V^0.16) + 0.4275T(V^0.16)
- T: Air temperature (°F), V: Wind speed (mph).
- Range: Works for temps -50°F to 50°F, wind speeds 3 mph+.
Results show the ‘feels-like’ temperature—accurate for planning in cold, windy weather!
